Primroses

It's a great combination, the first primroses of 'spring' spotted as I walked up to the post box with a Grow Your Own Voucher today....and also enjoying the winter lettuces from my winter vegetables collection, meanwhile, the sparrows, nuthatches, robins and hedge sparrows are all enjoying the wild bird food and sunflower hearts that I was given for Christmas...and the thrushes and blackbirds have been feasting on the halved apples that line the top of the hedge. Me, I'm happy as can be too, because I've got a brand new pair of wellies.....the first in what must be about 16 years, possibly more ....an advert from Argyll wellies! Hope you had a good break, and more fun to come soon! Don't forget t start thinking about vegetable growing and vegetable plants.....in not too long it'll be time to get to grips with the vegetable growing year ahead....mouthwatering vegetables could be all yours!
We are still enjoying the garlic planted in the spring, Solent Wight proved to be especially successful this year, with massive bulbs that have kept very well too - some were used to make some really very tasty garlic ciabatta to complement some pasta sauces yesterday.
