It is called The Show What Your Grow competition..and is a perfect way to get yet more rewards from grow your own, and you vegetable plants! So what's it all about? In essence, a chance to show what you can grow....and maybe even win some lovely wine!
As most fruit and veg plants are now cropping (often quite heavily!) and you load up your trugs and wheelbarrows with homegrown tomatoes, courgettes, peppers, plums and delicious potatoes, make sure you take a few photos of your wonderful vegetables...and then, if you’re looking for tips on what to do with all your delicious homegrown produce, help is at hand thanks to Carbon Neutral® winery Cono Sur and their sustainably produced, award-winning range of wines.
As one of the world’s most environmentally-friendly wineries, Cono Sur has recently updated its Green Cooks website [1] , an excellent resource for foodies containing delicious, seasonal recipes along with wine matches, blog posts from eco-experts and green-living tips. So have a look, and get some more inspiration!
So what's the photo for? Well, when you visit the website you can enter the ‘Show What You Grow’ competition and upload a photo of yourselves with your home-grown fruit and veg, and each week the best three images will be sent a bottle of Cono Sur wine along with a recipe suggestion using seasonal ingredients that matches perfectly with the wine.
Go on, have a go, it certainly sounds tempting to me!
