Grow Your Own in Africa with Self Help Africa

On Sunday May 1st I will be presenting the Radio 4 Charity Appeal for Self Help Africa who work with smallholder farmers across Africa, helping them grow enough food to feed their families all year round, earn an income to pay for essentials such as medicines and school fees and, most importantly ensuring they have the skills and resources they need to move to a more secure future.

The broadcasts go on air on Sunday 1 May at 7.55 am and 21.26 then on Thursday 5th at 15.27

It is a charity well worth supporting, a cause that, as a gardener who loves growing food to feed my own family, is very close to my heart.  If you can spare a moment to tune in, that'd be great, and better still, if you feel inclined to make a donation, I'd be grateful and so would everyone at Self Help Africa and the people they are helping.
