For me the butternut squash have been brilliant this year, with the late rain coming in just on time to fill them out a bit....................so now, luxury of luxuries the family is feasting on butternut squash soup, with the squash, tomatoes, onions and garlic and top-dressing of coriander leaves, all coming from the 'Grow Your Own with PG' vegetable plants.
Now all I need is an inlet of sea water for my sea salt, a heavy-cropping olive for my olive oil....oh yes. and a good crop of chickpeas, then it'll all be home grown. Somehow I think I'll not manage that, but I'm still feeling a bit smug!!
