I've had brilliant crops of sweetcorn, tomatoes, squash, courgettes and carrots, though I have to admit that the sugar-snap peas and the beans were a bit disappointing (due largely to the extremely dry weather earlier in the year). But on the whole crops have been high and the great thing is not just that we're munching our way through lots and lots of veg cooked and raw, but also that I'm hoping that all my Grow Your Own with Pippa Greenwood Customers have done just as well. It has been a year of pretty well all weather extremes - very late hail, drought, and now, for the last week or so, pretty well constant rain. But somehow, those wonderful vegetable plants have managed to catch up and put on a brave and tasty front!
